Meet the Owner
Quintel Henry
Founder and owner of Dusk II Dawn Child Care Center. Mrs. Henry is a mother, grandmother, educator and master of business, child care, and financing. Upon opening her childcare facility, Mrs. Henry retired from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine where she was the Business Manager for the Planning Office. With years of experience of caring for others of all ages, Mrs. Henry continues to be an advocate for her community and a caregiver and teacher for her Dusk II Dawn students. She looks forward to caring for all children so that parents can feel relief knowing their child is in good hands.
Meet Our Team
Javacia Swinson
Coordinator
Javacia Swinson is our coordinator here at Dusk II Dawn CCC. Javacia, or as the kids love to call her ‘TT”. She comes to us with a very diverse background. Javacia is a graduate of Winston Salem State University and holds a degree in psychology. She has done graduate work in public health at UNC-Greensboro and attained her state license as an emergency medical technician from Alamance community College.
Prior to working with us, she was a research coordinator in the infectious diseases group at UNC-CH where she worked on several study protocols. She currently serves on the infectious disease community advisory board where she offers her expertise in community health related issues.
Her love for children comes from a place of compassion, empathy, and understanding that all children are unique and special. Javacia worked as a paraprofessional and taught 1st grade at a charter school in Forsyth County, NC allowing her to see children in various stages of development and behavior.
When Javacia is not fostering growth with fun activities for the children, she is rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, spending time with her family and husband, being an armor bearer to her church first lady, and traveling.
Amber Reid

My name is Amber Reid. I am from Henderson, North Carolina. I graduated from North Carolina A&T State University in May 2022 majoring in Child Development & Family studies. My passion has been to always work with children since a young age. In my free time I love shopping.
About Us
Dusk II Dawn Child Care was established in 2017. We opened our doors on March 27, 2018 with only 3 children. Since , we have grown to over 30 children ranging in ages 2 years old to 12 years old.
We are here to allow flexibility for parents, who work outside of normal business hours. We offer extended hours and weekends as available. We strive to build long-term relationships within the community by helping families balance their needs, children, family, and education in a home away from home environment.
